Friday has finally rolled around and all I say right now is “thank you God” for the end of the work week to be here for me at the end of today.

On Tuesday my sinuses started acting up which I decided was due to my allergies but as the week has progressed I feel that I possibly could be wrong but, I am doing my best to use the ‘mind over matter’ approach.

For as long as I can remember Sundays has always been dedicated to family and as we all got older we would try and visit one another sometimes there were occasions when a couple of close family friends who were excepted as complimentary family member would join us.

So, I find myself excited about this weekend and I’m especially looking forward to this Sunday as our growing family has much to be thankful for.  We’ll be celebrating my son’s 18th birthday which is now shared with his youngest boy since we couldn’t do it last weekend.  Also, it is Mothers Day here in the USA and besides me being Mum, there is my eldest daughter who is a mother of three wonderful little girls and my daughter in law who now has two wonderful little boys of which one is just seven days old.  God has certainly blessed us in many wonderful ways.

My husband and I will not be celebrating with our mothers but we most definately will put a call in to them both.  My mother lives in N. Ireland and my husband’s lives in England; they do not celebrate ‘Mothers Day’ in May, it has always been ‘Mothering Sunday’ which falls on the third Sunday in March.  This is the one as children that we always celebrated as did our older children did until we moved to the United States.

The weather is warming up nicely today, a touch of humidity is present but it’s not too bad.  I’m sure that it is just a small indication of what we can expect in coming summer months.  The start to our season of hurricanes is only three weeks away and I’ve a feeling that this may be a summer that most of us will remember.
