What is wrong with the us? I’ve asked myself this same question hundreds upon hundreds of times. Every where one looks there seems to be unrest, unhappiness, anger etc…
I may sound naive to the majority but I do find it mind boggling that there are so many people who can be so unpleasant or harmful to another being or beings just because we have differences. Truthfully is it really such a disastrous thing to be different? I think not!
I know that we can’t prevent the on set of natural disasters from occurring but it would be a nice thought that each one of us are willing to try to prevent the man made situations that reak havoc and chaos.
I don’t know if I’m being ridiculous to think and believe that if more of us globally would try to see that we do have the power within us to make life better, even though it may be a long drawn out process.
Humans do have the ability of knowing right from wrong therefore to decide to choose good over bad seems to be the favorable choice. Therefore if this is so shouldn’t the individually take the time to give a bit more thought on how they should react, for seeing how their actions may bring upon self and others the negative consequenses of others through their carelessness.
To me the differences between all of us is wonderful as long as they are not harmful or abusive to someone. It would be quite tedious and boring if we all did everything the same way as one another, there would not be reason to gather together to chat about happenings at home or work - as we would be doing everything identical. Differences make up the being of who we are, it is our own personal make-up, our individuality.
I do prefer variation without a doubt - I like who I am and I try never to judge a person by race and religion and so on.
We are all unique in our own individual way but we also are the same in many other ways, Is it so bad that we are different? I personally don’t think so! I love history, cultures and the sharing and learning to understand that of religions different from my own. Life is so fascinating and I just love it!
By gosh now I’ve got that old 70s tune running through my head by a former pop group known as the ‘New Seekers’ called “I’d like to teach the World to sing in perfect harmony…”

Enjoyed your post. You’re so right in your comment about each of us being unique and yet the same as others in some ways. We all need love, encouragement, and support. We all get our hearts broken from time to time, feel anxious, or experience stress. At the same time, we each have our own little quirks and idiosyncrasies…and gifts.
